The Golden Palace
This was a must-see in Bangkok: spectacular!! It was a huge compound of ornate and lavish statues, temples and shrines; more than the eyes can digest. Because it wasn't already a suffocating 40 degrees, we had to borrow sleeved shirts and sarongs to wear over our clothes (there was a dresscode) but were somewhat annoyed to discover that we needn't have packed our closed-toed shoes around all day as flip-flops were permitted. Because there is more to see than to say, this post will be more album-like.![](http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5062/1567/320/IMG_4296.jpg)
